Welcome to a new feature on the website, that will
portray the club's long history through team photographs
and news articles.
Woodley Town F.C. can trace it’s routes back to 1904,
while it is thought a team existed in Woodley in the
nineteenth century.
The feature starts with two photographs taken from
1993 when the club last won the Reading Challenge Jubilee
Cup by defeating Richfield Rovers 4 - 1 in the final
played under lights at Palmer Park Stadium.

Neil Titchener 2, Alan Grimsey and Jason Mole were
the goal scorers.

On the way to the final the team defeated Lower Earley
9 - 0 after a replay, Forest Old Boys A 5 - 2, Westwood
Utd Res 2 - 1 before winning 5 - 1 against Cavershamn
Park in the semi final.
The team did the treble that season winning Reading
Football League Division Three Kennet before defeating
local rival Woodley Arms Reserves (Division Three Thames
Champions) 3 - 2 in the play off final to determine
the overall Division Three Champions.
Alan Grimsey went on to manage the first team and guided
them to promotion into the Senior Division in 2001 -
02 and 2003 - 04 seasons
