Twice weekly pre-season training is to be held on Monday and Wednesdays starting on Monday 28 June, meeting at 6.45 pm for a 7.00 pm start.

u13 Colts head for France
10 June 2010: 

The u13 Colts have been given the honour of representing the town of Woodley in a tournament at Bruay La Buissiere, in the north of France (near Arras) which in addition to the host country includes teams from Germany and Poland.

The team leaves Friday 11 June and returns on Monday 14 June.

14 May 2010: 

Congratulations to the u15 Whites on winning Division 1 of North East Hants Youth League last night by beating runners up California 2 - 1 thanks to two Billy Magetts' goals.

The team go for the double on Sunday 16 April when they play Aldershot Town Blues in the League Cup final.

Congratulations go to the u13 Blues on winning the BYDFL Plate 3 - 2 on penalties after a 1 - 1 draw against Reeves Rangers and the u15 Colts on winning the League Cup 3 - 0 against Divison One league champions Tadley Calleva.

Next up is the u15 Whites who play in the NEHYFL cup final on Sunday 16 May v Aldershot Town Blues.

Congratulatons go to the u15 Whites on winning the BBFA Minor cup for the second time in three seasons.

Leading 2 - 1 at half time against Moretonville Juniors, the match went to extra time, where two second period goals from Billy Margetts gave the team a 4 - 2 victory.

Matt Brookling and Sam Foad were the other goal scorers.

The first of four matches in eight days saw the 1st team lose 4 - 2 at Slimbridge in the League Cup quarter finals.

The u7's have been presented with Berkshire Youth Development League's Most Improved Team of the Year award.

The u15 Whites are through to the County u15 Minor Cup final following a 5 - 2 win over holders Theale Tigers in today's semi final.

The Men's First team added to the list of cup success this week by returning from Hellenic Premier side Witney Utd on Thursday evening with a 4 - 2 win on penalty kicks.

02 March 2010: An excellent weekend for Kestrel teams led by the U18 Whites who beat California Royals 6-0 and U13 Whites who won 1-0 against Ascot Utd to represent the club in the East Berks Youth League Cup finals.

The U13 Whites followed this up on Sunday with a 9 – 2 win at Bedfont to win through to the semi final of the Slough & Windsor Open Challenge Trophy.

Also through to a semi final is the U15 Whites who beat Ascot Utd 3 – 1 on penalties in the BBFA u15 Minor Cup.

Finally the U13 Colts won their Berks Development Youth League Cup quarter final tie with Going Robins 4 – 3.

Pitt Excels To Lift Trophy
14 July 2009: The clubs inaugural golf day held at Billingbear Park on Saturday was won in true style by Jon Pitt who played well beyond himself to walk away six shots clear ahead of junior member Toby Roberts.
u9 Success
13 July 2009: 
Congratulations to Nick Edwards' u9 Whites team in winning the Woodley Wanderers u9 six a side tournament.

After a goalless final the team beat Kennett Valley two nil on penalties scored by Luke McEnoy and Ben Anderson.

At the same tournament the u12s lost their final 2 - 0 on penalties after a nil nil draw with Caversham AFC United.

The u15s also drew nil all with Woodley Wanderers Falcons in the Consolation final but went on to win 3 - 1 on penalties.

This was the only success of the weekend as both the Men's Reserve Team and "A" team lost the BTC Centre cup finals.

The club have three cup finals this weekend starting with the Men's "A" team playing Reading YMCA Rapids in the BTC Junior Cup at Reading Town FC on Friday 8th May, 7.30 pm ko.

Saturday see the Mens Reserve team visit Reading Town FC for a 2.00 pm ko against Highmoor Ibis Reserves in the BTC Intermediate Cup while the u13 Whites meet Bracknell Hammers in the BYDL Divison 1 final at Tadley FC, ko 1.30 pm.

After two cup semi final successes at Highmoor Ibis's Scours Lane ground, the 1st team return there tonight to face second place Highmoor in League action knowing that a draw will be good enough to secure as a minimum a runners up spot in the Senior Division.

The u14 Whites successfully defended the Slough & Windsor Open Challenge Trophy defeating Wexham Utd 4 - 0 last Sunday, thanks to goals from Billy Margetts 2, Charlie Sumner and Sam Barratt.

Maurice Watmore
25 March 2009: 
It is with regret that the death Maurice Watmore on 6 March 2009 is announced.

Maurice was a tremendous servant to the club who would be seen on match days helping the Men's teams and running the line into his early Seventies.

His funeral is on 26 March 2009 at Christ Church, Reading at 12.45 pm.

On behalf of the club, condolences are sent to his family.

The Men's "A" team winning run came to an end while the Reserves secured a good point at Berinsfield while playing with ten men for eighty minutes.

The Men's "A" team reached a cup final for the second successive year when they defeated Berinsfield Res 3 - 1 on Saturday in the BTC Junior Cup.

A big weekend for the 1st and Reserve teams as they face their counter parts from Westwood Utd with wins important for both teams in their search for glory.

The "A" team play Berinsfield Res at Prospect Park in the BTC Semi Final and are looking who a second cup final appearance in successive seasons.

For the second successive year the Men's 1st team fell at the quarter final stage of the BBFA Intermediate Cup by the same score line of 2 - 0. This time to Steeple Claydon

The Men's "A" started their defence of the Reading Challenge Jubilee Cup with an emphatic 6 - 1 win over Sonning "A" with Eden Peters scoring his first hat trick for the club.

In the League the Men's Reserve team moved upto fourth place two points of the the third promotion spot with a one all draw with second place Spencers Wood.

The 1st team entertain Steeple Claydon in the quarter finals of the BBFA Intermediate Cup. Can the team go one better than last year and make the semi finals?

After a run of postponements and cup matches, the 1st team are at home to Woodcote Stoke Row on Saturday, in what will be only their third league match since the end of October.

The "A" have another home game, this time to Wokingham & Emmbrook "B" who were defeated earlier in the season but look a stronger side now.

The u16 Whites are away to lowly Rotherfield as they seek to extend their lead at the top of the table.

18 January 2009: 
A Devon Phillpotts hat trick and one from Jordan Sawyer saw the U16 White's beat New Windsor Youth 4 - 0 to join the Men's 1st team and U14 Whites in the last eight of their County Cups.

This win followed on from the teams 6 - 2 defeat of Reeves Rangers Blues the previous day to remain top of East Berks u16 Division 1.

The 1st team won through beating Westwood Utd 4 - 3 while the Saturday Reserves bowed out at Cippenham Sports loosing two nil.
Ground Hog Day!
16 January 2009: 
With the men's teams scheduled to play the same matches as last week, it's a case of ground hog day.

The 1st and Reserve teams have re-arranged County Cup ties as do the u16 Whites on Sunday 18th January at East Park Farm v New Windsor Youth. All matches kick off at 1.30 pm.

The Mens "A" team at at home to Finchampstead "A" in the League.

A Game Was Played!
11 January 2009: 
The Kestrels Whites u14 successfully played their BBFA Minor Cup tie at Sandhurst Boys & Girls winning 8 - 0 to progress to the quarter final stage.

All other Woodley Town matches were postponed this weekend. As a result the 1st team, Reserve team and u16 Whites will all play their County Cup matches next weekend.

Football Returns
02 January 2009: 
League football returns on 3 January 2009 with the 1st team away at local neighbours and bogey side Berks Co Sports while the Reserves travel to Berinsfield, having found themselves in fourth place over the break due to the withdrawal of two sides.

The A team match at Radstock has been postponed due to Radstock being under a County FA suspension. Therefore, a training session has been arranged for all those not selected to play on Saturday.

BBFA Minor Cup action returns on Sunday 4 January 2009 with the u16 Whites hosting New Windsor Youth at East Park Farm and the u14 Whites travelling to Sandhurst Boys & Girls. Both matches are a 1.30 pm ko.

The Men's section 5 - a - side tournament played on Monday 29th December 08 saw twenty seven players take part representing five teams.

Played on a league basis with the top four qualifying for the semi final, team A led by Jon Christopher came from 3 - 0 down to beat Billy Gordon's team B 4 - 3 in the final thanks to a brace each from Jon and Paul Wilder.

The Reserve team marched into the fourth round of the BBFA Junior Cup with a 4 - 2 win over Hurst Res to join the 1st team, u16 Whites and u14 Whites in keeping their County Cup aspirations alive in the New Year.
Soccer in the Community

Woodley Town FC has just completed a successful Soccer School at Rivermead School.

Seventeen boys attended the twice weekly sessions held over five weeks and were presented with momentoes at the school assembly today.

Plans already exsist to hold further sessions at Rivermead and other local schools early next year.

Congratulations to both teams on reaching the semi finals of the BTC Senior and Junior Cup respectively following 3 - 0 wins over defending Senior Division Champions Westwood Utd and AFC Corinthians Res.

With the Reserve team in the Intermediate Cup quarter finals confidence is very high of all teams making final appearances this season.

To cap a good weekend the u16's Whites and u14's Whites won their County Cup matches 6 - 4 v Penn & Tylers Green and 10 - 0 v Wolverton Tigermoths respectively to reach the third round.

The 1st team claimed an impressive win on Saturday against Binfield who are unbeaten in Hellenic League Division 1 East.

The team is enjoying a purple patch of form that sees them remain top of the Reading Football League Senior Division while also still in three cup competitions.

Next up is an away trip to League Champions Westwood Utd in the quarter finals of the BTC Senior Cup.

James Pearson was Town's match winner with his 87th minute goal to secure all three points in a one - nil win over champions Westwood Utd. Town remain third but have now opened a seven point lead other fourth place Westwood Utd.

The new season kicks off on Wednesday 3 September 2008 with the 1st team at home to new boys Sandhurst Devels in a 6.00 pm ko.

The Reserves have a repeat of last years opening game with a trip to Berks Co Sports Res on Saturday 6 September while the "A" team open at home to Woodcote Stoke Row Res.

Post match food continues to be provided by Bull & Chequers who also have Setanta Sports for the coming season.

Congratulations go the u11 Colts for winning the plate tournament with a resounding 7 - 1 victory over a Johanneaburg team. This is a tremedous result for a team that has not played eleven a side before.

Sadly the u15's were defeated at the semi final stage of the main tournament they entered.

U'15s Start well at the Arsenal International Soccer Festival
29 July 2008: The U'15s made a good start at the Arsenal 11 a side soccer festival at Holloway College Egham this week with a 6-2 win against Brunswick FC having been two nil down at the break.

Their second game played last night against Cobham saw the Kestrels win 1-0 in a faster and more physical game. The only goal coming from a great Vinnie Nash header on 38 minutes.

All at the club wish James Davies a speedy recovery from the broken leg he sustained at the Woodley Wanderers six - a - side tournament on 5 July 08.

James's team went on to win the u13 consolation plate while the u13 Whites won the main tournament. The u15 teams were finalists in the main tournament and won the consolation plate.

The u11 Navy's are the latest side to taste success when they won the Eldon Celtic six - a - side u11 consolation plate final, beating Aldershot 4 - 3 on penalties. Congratulations to the team.

u15's Conquer Dorset
15 June 2008: 
The u15's helped the clubs ever increasing repetition by winning the u16 Bournemouth six a side held at Bournemouth Sports Club Hurn Dorset.

The final was won against Chersey Town 3-1 having reached the final by a penalty shoot out in the semi final.

A great day down at the coast with the football and cricket played on the beach as a warm up!!
Carnival Day

The Woodley Town FC stall proved to be a popular attraction with the carnival crowd including a visit by Woodley’s Mayoress.

A keepee upee competition was held for various age groups between male and female together with a display of team photographs and brief details of the club history and honours.

Thank you to all those who helped prepare the stall and man it on the day.

Former Town Player Passes Away

Former Woodley Town player Ryan Batt was tragically killed in a hit and run in the early hours of Sunday morning 1st June.

All at Woodley Town would like to send there condolences to Ryan's family and friends at this tough time. Ryan was a credit to the club during his two year spell 2004-2006 playing 33 games and picking up the Managers Player of the Year award in his first season.

The men's A team added to the club's impressive list of silver ware for the season by winning the Reading Evening Post Jubilee Cup.

First half goals by James Pearson, John Mailer and Lewis O'Connor set the team up for the 4 - 1 over Woodcote Stoke Row Res with Pearson scoring a second late in the match.

u12 Whites Cup and League Double
07 May 2008: Woodley Town Kestrels White have achieved a League and Cup Double after beating Henley AFC 3-2 in a very close cup final on Sunday 5 May 2008 at Henley Town FC.
U13s win Henley League Cup Final
06 May 2008: Woodley Town Kestrels Whites U13's Flying High Soaring to Success.

Woodley Town Kestrels have now completed a quadruple win, they have won the Berks and Bucks Cup, the Slough and Windsor Cup and now topped their success by winning the Woodley & Earley Cup and the Beaconsfield Cup, also being winners on the league.

This weeks games were - WTK v Reading Rangers 4-0 ( Woodley & Earley Cup)

Kestrels played an excellent game with Rangers giving the defence a few concerning moments which Kestrels dealt with well. The goals came from Charlie Cooke, Elliot Cox, Ryan Goswell and Leroy Clarke.

u13's Cup Double
27 April 2008: 
The u13's won a cup for the second successive weekend, defeating New Windsor Woodpeckers 6 - 2 in the Slough & Windsor Open Challenge Trophy.

Goals by Charlie Cooke and Daniel Davies gave the team a two nil lead but they were pegged back to two all at the break. A second half hat trick from Leroy Clarke and one from Sean Moore secured the win. u13s County Champs

The u13's turned in an outstanding performance at Reading Town FC, to beat Ascot Utd 5 - 1 to win the BBFA u13 Minor Cup. Leading two nil at half time through Daniel Davies and Sean Moore, further efforts from Sam Barratt 2 and Elliott Cox secured victory.

Congratulations go to the team.

13 March 2008: Welcome to a new feature on the website, that will portray the club's long history through team photographs and news articles.

The feature starts with two photographs taken from 1993 when the club last won the Reading Challenge Jubilee Cup by defeating Richfield Rovers 4 - 1 in the final played under lights at Palmer Park Stadium. Neil Titchener 2, Alan Grimsey and Jason Mole were the goal scorers

Successful Cup Weekend
09 March 2008: 
A good weekend for the club saw the Men's A team defeat Barton Rovers 5 - 0 to reach the final of the Reading Challenge Jubilee Cup while the u13 Whites defeated Barton Rovers 3 - 0 to reach the final of the Berks & Bucks u13 Minor Cup.

They join the u13 Navys who had prevously won through to a Woodley & Earley League Cup Final.

Well done to all.

09 March 2008: Woodley Town A defeated unbeaten League leaders Barton Rovers 5-0 to book their place in the Final of the Jubilee Cup
Cup Semi Final Weekend
02 March 2008: 
8 March sees the Men's A team play Barton Rovers in the Evening Post Jubilee Cup Semi Final at East Park Farm, while the u13 Whites will also play Barton Rovers on 9 March in the County Minor Cup at Woodford Park. Both matches ko at 2.00 pm.

The u14's play Binfield u14 in the East Berks Youth Cup Semi Final on 8 March at Hugh Faringdon School ko 11.30 am.

Well done to the players and managers for rising to the challenge and returning from Cookham Dean with a 3 - 2 win while the Reserves came from a goal behind to give leaders Berinsfield their first league defeat of the season.

Let's use these wins to build the platform for next week.
A Massive Weekend

The Men's fixtures for 16 Feb 08 do not come bigger than playing two league leaders and Cookham Dean.

If we are to have a successful weekend, it falls on everyone to attend training and make themselves available for team selection.
A Team In Search of Cup Glory

The A team stormed from two goals behind, to beat North Berks side Harwell Sports A 4 - 2 and progress to the Semi Final of Reading Challenge Jubilee Cup to play Barton Rovers.

Can the team emulate the success the club enjoyed in 1992 - 93 season when the cup was last won?
Berks and Bucks Cup Weekend
01 February 2008: 
It's a big weekend for the club as two teams are involved in quarter final ties in BBFA competitions.

The 1st team are at home to Penn & Tylers Green in the Intermediate Cup on 2 Feb 08 and the u13 White's at home to Newport Pagnell on 3 Feb 08. Both matches kick off at 1.30 pm so please support the teams.
1st Team March On in County Cup
27 January 2008: 
The Men's first team are through to the quarter finals of the BBFA Intermediate Cup, to play Penn & Tylers Green at home on 2 February 2008, following a hard fought 2 - 1 win over Waltham.

Without doubt this will be one of the team's biggest matches in recent seasons and the whole club is requested to support Manager Andy Abraham and the team.

25 January 2008: 
Weather permitting it looks like we will have a full weekend of fixtures. The pick of Saturday's matches is the twice postponed County cup game between the 1st team and Waltham.
We're up for the Cup!
17 January 2008: 
Weather permitting this weekend sees the 1st team at home to Waltham in the BBFA Intermediate Cup on Saturday, while the u13's are at home on Sunday to Chesham Utd Youth in BBFA u13 Minor Cup. Both are 1.30 pm ko's and are at the round of sixteen stage.

The Men's A team have Reading Evening Post Quarter Final action at home to Harwell Sports, ko 2.00 pm.

15 January 2008: 
Kestrels' training for Wednesday 16 Jan 08 has been postponed due to waterlogging.

The Men's training will take the form of a road run and all players to meet at usual time at Redingensians.
